my country's economy has maintained its growth momentum. Due to the increasingly prominent contradiction between resources and the environment, circular economy and cleaner production have become important directions for sustainable socio-economic development. The die-casting category, encompassing various pressure-based non-ferrous metal casting processes such as low-pressure casting and extrusion casting, has a total output of approximately 1.5 million tons.
The total national automobile production reached 7.28 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 27.6%, of which passenger car production reached 3.87 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 39.7%. In 2012, the total national die-casting output was 1,024,000 tons, including 802,140 tons of aluminum die-castings and 13,620 tons of magnesium die-castings. From January to October 2012, national passenger car production reached 3.8501 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 23.4%; sales reached 3.6001 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 22.0%. The die-casting market is expected to continue its growth. The recyclable nature of non-ferrous metal resources and the minimal or no-cutting characteristics of die-casting align with the requirements of a circular economy and cleaner production. The development of lightweighting in the automotive industry has accelerated the application of aluminum-magnesium die castings in the market; international non-ferrous metal die casting production is showing a trend of shifting to my country. The die casting market still has room for development.
The automotive industry is one of the important application areas for the domestic die casting industry. With the development of the domestic economy and the improvement of people's living standards, domestic automobile sales have continued to grow, which has promoted the development of the domestic die casting industry, especially the aluminum alloy die casting industry. With the increasing demand for lightweighting in automobiles, optimization and upgrading are also underway within the automotive industry, gradually replacing some gray iron castings with aluminum castings, stimulating an increase in demand for aluminum alloy die castings. In addition, the global die casting industry is developing rapidly, and the demand for aluminum alloy die castings in various industries is also increasing, indicating a good development prospect for the die casting industry.
