After processing the data from the casting, gating system, and overflow system, and inputting boundary condition data such as die-casting process parameters and alloy physical parameters, simulation software can simulate the alloy filling process and the flow of liquid alloy within the mold cavity. It can also perform solidification and temperature field simulations to further optimize the gating system and determine the location of mold cooling points. The simulation results are presented in the form of images and videos, showing the flow of liquid alloy and the distribution of the temperature field throughout the filling process. Analysis can identify potential defect locations. In subsequent designs, measures such as changing the location and direction of the ingate and adding slag collection bags can improve the filling effect and prevent or eliminate casting defects.
The mold design and development process includes the work required of designers during the mold design phase and the overall design concept. This includes some design and development processes related to standard certification, which can help prevent potential problems during the design phase.
